Sexually transmitted diseases can be treated easily when diagnosed early. We treat the following STDs: Chlamydia A bacteria called chlamydia trachomatis causes this particular STD to develop, and it can infect both men and women. Examples of symptoms in women include pain during sex, a burning sensation while urinating or abnormal vaginal discharge. Symptoms in men include discharge from the penis, a burning sensation when urinating, burning and itching around the opening of the penis or pain and swelling in the testicles. Gonorrhea Gonorrhea is caused by a bacteria called Neisseria gonorrhoeae. Examples of symptoms in women include pain during sex, a burning sensation while urinating or abnormal vaginal discharge. Symptoms in men include discharge from the penis, a burning sensation when urinating, burning and itching around the opening of the penis or pain and swelling in the testicles. Trichomonas Trichomonas, or “trich” is a very common STD caused by an infection with a protozoan parasite called Trichomonas vaginalis. Symptoms vary, including itching or burning inside of the penis, discomfort when urinating, discharge from the vagina or discharge from the penis. Treatment is simple if diagnosed early. PrEp PrEP is a pill that has 2 anti-HIV medicines taken daily to prevent HIV for HIV-negative people. PrEP is taken before you think you might be exposed to HIV. PEP is taken within 72 hours after exposure to HIV (e.g. after rape) for 28 days to prevent HIV. PeP is taken after you think you have been exposed to HIV. Taking a pill every for ongoing protection from HIV might not be for everybody, but it is an excellent option for people at high risk of getting HIV. Most people can safely use PrEP, but a healthcare provider will need to determine if there is any reason why you should not take it. Erectile Dysfunction (ED) Erectile dysfunction, the inability to get or keep an erection during sexual activity, happens when the penile erection chambers fail to generate and maintain the high pressures that characterize a fully hard erection. The good news is ED drugs, PDE5 inhibitors that are prescription medications, have been clinically proven to be effective treatments for ED.
